Rios was signed by the Chicago White Sox in 2009 where he played until 2013. Since 2013 he has played for the Texas Rangers. Rios was named an MLB All-Star in 2006 and 2007. On September 23, 2013 he hit for the cycle. Alex represented Puerto Rico in the 2013 World Baseball Classic and won a Silver medal. As of July 2014 he has over 1,600 hits and 160 home runs with more than 750 runs batted in and 240 stolen bases in his major league career.
