She has released two albums and three DVDs. She has authored a novel and released three photobooks. In 2004 she starred in a Japanese production of Fiddler on the Roof. She starred with older sister Natsumi in 2006 in a Japanese TV show about 60’s Japanese pop duo The Peanuts. In 2007 Asami joined the trio Gyaruru. She has also starred in Hotman 2, The Hit Parade and Money Draw. In 2011 she was married.
