Bobby Womack Net Worth


The band began to dwindle in 1964 following the death of Sam Cooke, went on to split up in 1966. As a songwriter Womack’s credits include; The Rolling Stones hit “It’s All Over Now” and New Birth’s single “I Can Understand It”. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009. Womack’s song “Across 110th Street” was featured in the films Jackie Brown directed by Quentin Tarantino and the Denzel Washington film American Gangster. Some of Womack most recent work includes the songs “Cloud of Unknowing” with Gorillaz in 2010 and “Bobby In Phoenix” also with Gorillaz in 2011. He also received a Grammy Award nomination for the Best Short-Form Music Video: “Stylo” in 2011 shared with Mos Def & Gorillaz. Bobby Womack died on June 27, 2014 at the age of 70.
