After Imus’s departure, McCord continued as news anchor at WFAN for several months. Then he spent 30 years on the air at 660 kHz frequency in New York, after the contract between Imus and WFAN was settled at the end of August McCord left WFAN. He returned to the radio on December 3, 2007, and was reunited with Imus, on the revival of Imus in the Morning.
