Deep Thoughts was a segment on SNL from 1991 to 1998. He was responsible for the SNL segments Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer and Toonces the cat. His first novel The Stench of Honolulu was released in 2013. Handey won two Primetime Emmy Award for Saturday Night Live.
