Back in May 2007, he floated 20 percent of Platinum Asset Management on the Australian Securities Exchange. After the 57 percent of the company’s shares he retained were estimated at A$2.9 billion, he became one of the richest men in Australia. Being the principal shareholder of Platinum, helped him earn A$42 million in dividends throughout the 2012 financial year. Apart from the above, Neilson is a married man with two children. Together with his wife Judith, Kerr opened the White Rabbit Gallery in 2009 in Sydney, in order to share with the world their extensive collection of contemporary Chinese art.
