Peter first appeared on his father’s show at three years old. He became a co-host in 1987 with his father. Peter became the full time host in 1993 when Allen had a stroke. In 1996 he became an executive producer for many Candid Camera specials. The latest revival of the show came in 2014 with Mayim Bialik hosting. Peter founded the Monterey County Young Journalists program and is the President of the Laughter Therapy Foundation. He married Amy Suzanne Meltzer in 1986 and has two children.
