Along with his brother Scott he also won the World Wrestling Federation World Tag Team Championship twice. Rick was an amateur wrestler for the University of Michigan and finished second at the Big Ten Championships in 1983 and set a record for fastest pin in the school’s history at 15 seconds. He was introduced to professional wrestling by George “The Animal” Steele and started out in the American Wrestling Association before joining the Universal Wrestling Federation and then the National Wrestling Alliance. He was in a tag team with Sting and was a member of the Varsity Club with Mike Rotunda and Kevin Sullivan. Steiner competed for TNA Wrestling towards the end of his career and sporadically wrestles on the independent circuit.
