Silly Bandz won the Best Design award in the Japanese National Competition in 2003. Croak spent time in the automotive business as a salesman and became a finance manager. He purchased his grandfather’s bar and opened other bars and restaurants. He also ran a concert promotion company. While running a race he was given a Livestrong bracelet which got him thinking and eventually led to Silly Bandz. Robert admits that the Silly Bandz craze has slowed down and he continues to work on new products and business ventures. He has since gotten into real estate, technology, and fast casual pizza enterprises.
