Chan also serves as vice-president of the Real Estate Developers Association of Hong Kong. He is a Co-Chairman of the Asia Society and Chairman of its Hong Kong Center. Chan is also an advisor for the China Development Research Foundation of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China. He is also part of the advisory or governing bodies for the China Foreign Affairs University, the University of Southern California, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Chan was formerly a director and member of the audit committee for Enron Corporation.
