Walther Moreira Salles spent 60 years of his life working for Unibanco and finally retired as the bank’s Chairman of the Board in 1991. Until his death in 2001, he had had three marriages which resulted in four children named Pedro, Walter, Joao and Fernando Moreira Salles. It’s his son Pedro Moreira Salles that now serves as Unibanco’s current president.
